How long does it take to have my order delivered? The delivery time will depend on the shipping method of your choice, plus the production time after your order is completed and confirmed. The rule of thumb is to take into consideration the production time in business days plus UPS transit time in business days plus one extra business day for UPS pick-up and processing. Business days are defined as Mondays to Fridays excluding the public holidays. A common mistake to estimate UPS shipping time is to count only the transit time. UPS does not consider day the package is picked up and processed to be part of the transit time. For example, if a package is picked up by UPS on Monday and the ground shipping transit time is 5 business days, the shipment will be delivered on the next Monday (the 6th business day from the pick-up day) instead of Friday.
The production / engraving time will vary depending on the workload and capacity in the production at the time. The rule of thumb is 2 to 3 business days or more for smaller orders; up to 7 business days or more for larger orders. If it takes more time, you will be communicated with in a timely manner. Quite often the production can be done sooner. But please keep the above production times in mind when you place your order. Refer to Shipping for the more details. What are the requirements for my artwork or logo file to be submitted? When you choose to submit your own artwork or logo for your order, you will need to make sure your uploaded artwork or logo file meets the requirement for engraving. If your artwork or logo is to be submitted in any of the vector formats. There will be no issues because artwork or logo in vector format can be easily resized without affecting its quality. ESP, PS and WMF (Windows metafile) are the common vector format files. You can find the Type of File by right clicking your file then selecting Properties. Common mistakes occur with bitmap images files. Examples of such format include JPEG, GIF, BMP, JPG, etc. You can find the Type of File by right clicking your file then selecting Properties. When you submit your artwork or logo in any of those formats, you need to make sure it meets the requirement for engraving. Many customers simply submitted a JPEG or GIF image file they found that was good for computer display but insufficient for engraving quality. Given the estimated size (width x height in inches) of your engraved artwork or logo on the final product, the requirement for the artwork or logo is the combination of two attributes of your image file: pixels (or loosely speaking "dots") and resolution in terms of dpi (dot per inch). Generally, images for computer displays are 72 dpi and 300 dpi for engraving. But the number of pixels (or dots) in width and height for your file also are a factor. You can find those attributes by right clicking your artwork or logo file; selecting Properties; clicking Summary tab on the top of Properties window (you may need to click Advanced button in the Summary tab). The attributes are shown similar to the following example (pixel can loosely be considered as dot): Width 200 pixels Height 100 pixels Horizontal Resolution 72 dpi Vertical Resolution 72 dpi Since resolution is measured by dot per inch (dpi), the above example results in the image size of about 2.8" in width (200 pixel / 72 dpi) and 1.4" in height. But it is only good for computer displays but insufficient for engraving. We could resample the image by increasing its resolution to 300 dpi, but given the number of pixels (dots) of width and height for this image file, the size of the engraved image would only be 0.7" in width (200 pixel / 300 dpi) and 0.3" in height (100 pixel / 300 dpi). The image cannot be enlarged without losing the quality. The following table provide some more examples of various image files with the intended image sizes and the combinations of the two file attributes (pixels for width and height and resolutions in dpi). Please use those examples as a guideline to determine the image file you plan to submit for your order. The rule of thumb is to use 300 dpi as the base resolution for engraving quality image. If your file has a little bit lower resolution, it should have larger pixels in width and height that allow us to resample the image with higher resolutions.

Artwork Requirements for more. What are the photo requirements? When you choose a design, you will be advised on the design diagram whether horizontal or vertical photo orientation is expected on each engraving area. Horizontal orientation is defined as horizontal width of the photo greater than vertical height. Vertical orientation is that the vertical height is larger than horizontal width. If you submitted a photo with wrong orientation, it will delay the processing of your order. You will be communicated if you photo does not fit the engraving area of the product. Although any photo can be re-sized to fit the area, it often results in awkward layout effect, or requires unnecessary cropping of the original photo. For some products, your original photo will need to cropped in order to fit the engraving area. One such example can be seen in Heart Marble Photo Tile. As stated in the Service Agreements, when you place your order, you have agreed that we will use our professional judgment to decide how to crop the photo for the final product.

Artwork Requirements for more. How do I change the quantity of my order?
The quantity can be updated in the Shopping Cart. After you have entered the desired personalized
information on the product page and clicked "Add to Shopping Cart", you can change the quantity in
the Qty field then click Update. How do I know the exact font size on the final product?
You can get a feel based on the sample product photo. Different font types
result in different font sizes on the final product. The length of each message
line and the number of message lines will also be factors in determining the
actual font size on the final product. The general tip is that the more
characters are in your message, the smaller of the font size is on the final
engraving. We will use our professional judgment to
adjust the font sizes aesthetically during the productions based on specific
products. This includes the margins and character and line spacing. How do I know the exact layout positions on the final product?
Design choices are provided for applicable products. The layout diagrams are
just for illustration purposes. You can get a feel what the final layout will
look like based on the illustrations. Same designs could be applicable to
different products of different sizes and different orientation. The length of
each message line and the number of message lines will make an impact on the
final layout on the final product. Therefore we will have to use our
professional judgment to adjust final layouts aesthetically during the
productions. This includes the margins, the placement of each artwork item, and
the font size and character and line spacing. What is Design ID?
For certain products, pre-designed layouts are provided on the right screens for various occasions and recipients. Each design is identified by a unique Design ID that is
listed under each design illustration. The Design ID is to
be entered based on your choice in the field provided on the product
page before your order. What are Clipart and Clipart ID?Clipart Library is provided for certain products for various occasions and recipients. Each clipart is identified by a unique Clipart ID. The Clipart ID is to be entered based on your choice in the field provided on the product page before your order. Please be advised that not all the clipart is guaranteed to fit in the design of your choice. For example, if you choose to place the clipart on top of your messages, you may have to choose one that isn’t taking much space vertically, i.e. more of flatten-shaped clipart. Similarly, if the clipart is to be place by the side of the messages, you may have to choose a clipart that is vertically oriented. Another example is that the clipart you choose may be too large given the engraving space for the design and messages of your choice. Although we can reduce the clipart size to fit any space, the shrunk clipart might be too small to reveal some details on the final product.
If you have chosen one clipart that will not result in a desirable final look in
engraving for the design of your choice, we will communicate with you to seek
for alternative clipart selection for your order. What is the number of message lines?Depending on the product, maximum lines of personalized messages for engraving are specified. Any message line that is left blank will be considered as blank line space. For example, for a product with maximum of three message lines, if you enter messages in Line 1 and Line 3 and leave Line 2 blank, the final engraving will have line space between your two message lines. If you need only one line of message, you can enter the message in any of the three message fields and leave the other two blank. We will adjust the message line position aesthetically during the production. If you do not enter text in any of the message fields provided, you mean you do not need any personalized messages to be engraved on your product. Text message lines will always be centered. What is the relative size of message lines?
Relative size is to allow message lines with different size relative to others.
You have the choice of either larger or smaller. For example, for a product with
maximum of three message lines, you can choose Message 1 to be relatively large
and the other two lines to be relatively small. The same relative size will
result in the same font size on the final product. If you do not specify
relative size (i.e. leaving it blank) for the messages, it means
the size of the messages to be the same. If you
leave the relative sizes of certain messages blank (i.e. do not specify any)
while having specified the relative sizes for other messages, the blank relative
size will be treated the same as the larger size of the other messages. The actual
font size and the difference between large and small of the engraved messages
will be determined and aesthetically adjusted during the engravings, based on
the number of message lines and the length of each message line. Can I Place International Orders?
You can place your orders anywhere in the world using the acceptable
payment methods, as long as
the orders are shipped to any addresses within the United States.
Currently we do not process orders that are shipped to overseas addresses. |
